Slam dunksand boring charts
If you've got a story to tell, I can help you tell it. Whether it's a basketball slam dunk or the most boring chart in history, I make things move. 15 years, 600+ projects and a boatload of coffee.
A highlight reel of the explainers, broadcast content and character work I've made for brands, broadcasters, universities and government. Fifteen years stitched into fifty seconds.

We talk through what you need. Then I send a proposal with a fixed quote and a plan, so you know exactly what you're getting. No pressure to go ahead.
Week 0 · FreeScript and storyboard
Bring your own script, or we shape it together. Once the words are locked, I map the whole thing frame by frame so you can see where it's going before anything moves.
Weeks 1 to 2Animate
This is where it comes to life. You've already signed off every scene on the storyboard, so there are no surprises. I animate it, then refine it with your feedback until it's right.
Weeks 3 to 5Deliver
Final files in every format you need: web, social, LMS or broadcast, plus captions. Other languages and cut-downs are easy to add.
Week 6
“Greg at CrispFX has been a frequent collaborator, and is my first port of call anytime I need help to elevate our content.”David Tang, Red Fox Films
Things clients ask me
How much does an animation cost?
It depends on length, style and how much needs writing. Most explainers land between $6,000 and $18,000. I quote a fixed fee, not an hourly rate, so the price can't drift without us talking first. There's a full breakdown in my animation cost guide.
How long does production take?
About six weeks from kickoff to final files. That covers script, storyboard, animation and sound. Simpler pieces can move faster, and I'll lock in the timeline before we start. No rush, though. If approvals take longer on your side, I go at your pace.
Can you work to our brand guidelines?
Happily. I've worked inside plenty of brand books and I'm comfortable matching a house style. If your brand is still forming, I can help shape how it moves.
Do you write scripts?
Yes, and I enjoy it. Some clients bring their own script, others we write together. Either way, a good explainer lives or dies on its script, so I'll help get it right before anything is drawn.
