University of Tasmania · Universal Design for Learning
Animated explainers that show educators how to design learning for everyone.
University of Tasmania
The University of Tasmania wanted to help educators understand Universal Design for Learning: designing courses that work for every student from the start. The university brought CrispFX in to storyboard and animate a set of explainers.
The brief
Students come from different cultural and socio-economic backgrounds and learn in different ways. The videos had to make that point warmly, then explain the UDL framework clearly enough for educators to put it to work.
The approach
A diverse cast of characters carries the human side, and a simple UDL framework graphic carries the structure, building piece by piece. One video goes further, linking the framework to neuroscience and how people learn.
