Maple Leafs and Raptors · Motion illustration
Trains, collages and playoff takeovers for two Toronto teams.
MLSE, via STN Digital
MLSE runs the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Raptors. STN Digital brought CrispFX in for illustrated and collage pieces across both.
The brief
Mark big moments for both teams: the Leafs coming home, playoff games and an All-Star push.
The approach
For the Leafs' homecoming, a train travels through Toronto, turning the city from black and white to blue and white before pulling into Scotiabank Arena. A photo collage in stop motion style celebrated the same night. For the playoffs, the Leafs "took over" Montreal landmarks. For the Raptors, Pascal Siakam drives a train where each carriage is a career milestone, to drive All-Star votes.
