NFL leaderboards that count up and reshuffle, built straight from the data.

NFL on Prime Video wanted animated leaderboards for social: the top 10 rushing yards leaders and the top 10 receiving yards leaders. STN Digital brought CrispFX in to design and build them.
The brief
I was handed the stats for each week of the season. The leaders' totals had to count up week by week, with players shifting places as the rankings changed, and every number had to be right.
The approach
Rather than keying in each week by hand, I built the animation to import the data straight from Excel into After Effects. Names, team colours, bars and yardage build themselves from the spreadsheet. The totals count up and the players swap places as the rankings move.
Driving it from the data kept every number accurate across the whole season.
What was delivered

- Top 10 receiving yards leaders animation
- Vertical 1080x1920 for social
